160 to 168: two months, two sessions, zero bullshit
I reached out to elleSAT because I had a high diagnostic score on the LSAT. Anita got straight to the point and helped me put together an initial study plan for myself and told me the score increase I should expect and on what timeline. I got exactly the score she said I would in exactly the timeframe she told me.
I booked two sessions with her in addition to my very loose self studying, and I am confident that I would have achieved a higher score had I chosen to work with her more closely. She definitely knows what she is talking about and is no-bullshit. She was generous with our session time and genuinely interested in helping me achieve my goals in the most cost-effective and time-effective way possible. She is an honest person, a straight shooter, and a truly great tutor. If I decide to retake, she’ll be my first call.

One hour well-spent
Most tutors regurgitate information from PowerScore or Manhattan Prep, but Anita analyzes your specific weaknesses and targets them with her unconventional strategies and study plans. I was able to raise my score from a 168 to a 175 after just one session.
At a certain stage of your LSAT preparation, reading more commercial books or practicing more questions stops being helpful. Most students get frustrated and settle for whatever score they have at this point, but that's because they do not understand the key to a higher score is to change your thinking patterns. You can learn all the information you want but the LSAT makers are masters at getting you to revert to your baseline thinking patterns, which is why you keep getting the same amount of wrong questions over and over again.
I couldn't change my thinking patterns myself which is why I am grateful to Anita for showing me techniques that made me look at the test differently. Whether you like or dislike her techniques is irrelevant; just trying them forces your mind to approach the test differently which can be all that is needed to increase your score. With her help, I was able to raise my score from a 168 to a 175. Thanks Anita!

Perfect study plan for ADHD
I only needed three sessions to get on the right track and breakthrough and into the deep 170s. I got to 170 exactly when she said I would, and her advice kept me moving higher. I recently scored a 175 on the August LSAT. Great investment and even better tutor.

I found Anita when I hit the infamous 165/mid 160s score plateau in my LSAT prep. Logical reasoning was holding me back, specifically getting better at managing my time with questions to maximize my score. She helped me to understand the test's mechanics in a different way through her close analysis and perspective and gave me new techniques for reviewing my work and moving forward. Her study plans are perfect for students with ADHD or limited time to study, and in my experience were more helpful than guides and books.

“My 1-hour study plan was invaluable”
“Any tutor can help you work question by question, but not everyone can help you implement a “top-down” vision of where each question, section, test and strategy falls into place to help you get from where you are to where you want to be — this is exactly where Anita shines. Money and time well spent!”

While I already knew the basics of LSAT prep, my 1-hour study plan was invaluable. Being a taker with ADD, I found itdifficult to be able to approach studying in traditional methods.
Anita was perfect for this. Her suggestions allowed me the unconventional perspective of actually being able to start my practice tests, plus she fully acknowledges the differences necessary to learning. I don’t think I would have been able to score within the 170s without that plan with her, but I’m immensely grateful that I chose to take the plunge.
It’s amazing how such little time completely changed my perspective on studying for the LSAT.

158 —> 168 —> 174!
“Hired Anita when I was stuck at 148-152 on practice tests. She told me everything I needed to know and I self-studied after those four sessions to get a 168 on my first LSAT Flex six weeks later. Totally changed how I think about the test.”
— BJ, 2021 applicant
I self-studied to 158 before calling Anita. Invested in two hours of tutoring and broke through to the high 160s after applying her logic game setups and logical reasoning techniques. Called her again after getting a 168 on my second attempt. Third time was the charm - 174!
An hour with her is cheaper than a month with 7-Sage, and more valuable. She’s on another level.

“10 point increase”
“Within the first three weeks of working with Anita, I saw my score go up five points. I believe this is not only because of her amazing communication skills or insightful advice but because she truly believes in her students and fights for them.”

Happy to share that my last practice test was ten points higher than any of my previous ones after just three hours with Anita. Her study methods are really working for me.

“A very supportive tutor”
“I don’t have any other words to describe the relief I felt after the first lesson when I was able to walk away feeling accomplished and even overwhelmed that I was able to understand everything Van said. Van is truly a treasure and I value her as a person and a tutor.”
— M.
“Van has already helped me immensely with my logic games. I have been struggling for a long time to get my score up, and finally decided to invest in a tutor. She came highly recommended from a friend who scored high 170s. Van is great at listening to my concerns, checking in to make sure I completely understand what she is teaching, and explaining things clearly. Van is not only highly intelligent, but kind and thoughtful. She is a very supportive tutor and will help you pinpoint your weak spots to make sure you do incredible on the LSAT. My only regret is not signing up for her sooner. I’ve been studying since January, and although I’m doing pretty well, it pains me to think how much easier and more organized I’d have been if I had started with Van sooner.”

“More than just a tutor”
“Within the first three weeks of working with Anita, I saw my score go up five points. I believe this is not only because of her amazing communication skills or insightful advice but because she truly believes in her students and fights for them.”

“Anita has been tutoring me since February and I am so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work with her. When I met Anita, I felt totally lost and was struggling with how to organize my studying. I was putting in the work, but I was not improving at the rate that I wanted. Anita supported me without judgment and helped me create a method to track my studying, map where I need to improve, and gave me constant advice when I felt overwhelmed. Not only did Anita change how I studied, but she also changed how I think about LSAT questions. Because Anita had her own experience going from a 140 to a whopping 177, she knows how to teach to a person like me, someone who wants to work hard but does not naturally have the skills to ace the LSAT. Anita explained the questions and games I had issues with clearly and thoughtfully. Within the first three weeks of working with Anita, I saw my score go up five points. I believe this is not only because of her amazing communication skills or insightful advice but because she truly believes in her students and fights for them. Anita’s excitement and passion for the LSATs is infectious. Eight months later, I am scoring in the high 160s and rising. Anita is more than just a tutor, she is my cheerleader and true friend. Anita is someone I believe everyone person taking the LSAT should have in their life.”
“The tutor I would recommend to anyone”
“I don’t have any other words to describe the relief I felt after the first lesson when I was able to walk away feeling accomplished and even overwhelmed that I was able to understand everything Van said. Van is truly a treasure and I value her as a person and a tutor.”

After years of studying for the LSAT, I was able to finally understand the logic and breaking down the stimulus. Because of my ADHD, I was never to really understand the questions and how to attack it. Van has been very compromising and she answers all of my questions with examples and takes the time to walk me through it. Van is honestly the ONLY tutor that I had who actually taught me something that I am able to easily remember and apply. If you have a hard time understanding how to attack the LSAT, Van would be the tutor I would recommend to anyone; to those who have ADHD and to those who don’t. I don’t have any other words to describe the relief I felt after the first lesson and I was able to walk away feeling accomplished and even overwhelmed that I was able to understand everything Van said. Van is truly a treasure and I value her as a person and a tutor.
